Screw compressor suction failure solution

   Screw air compressor is a general dynamic force equipment with gas absorption, compression, discharge, storage and application as the main line of work, so the air intake and filtration system is the primary system of the compressor。The air compressor inlet air filtration system mainly refers to the parts of the compressor suction atmosphere and its control parts, which are usually composed of two parts: the inlet air filter unit and the inlet valve。The structure of the air inlet filter unit is relatively simple, and it is usually composed of an air inlet filter and an air inlet filter duct (soft and hard tubes)。Some minicomputers do not have an air inlet duct, and even the air filter shell is not required, and the air inlet filter element is directly installed on the air inlet valve。Larger flow units will use multiple sets of air filters to achieve better filtration and reduce suction resistance。
   In the production operation, we often encounter failures in the intake system, such as the failure of the intake air filter and the butterfly valve。Although controller failures are rare, they do occur。Below, we discuss the three major aspects of the screw compressor suction system failure, I hope to help you。
1. Filter failure
The air filter is the first part of the compressor. After the natural air is filtered by the air filter, it is sent to the compressor host for compression, and then discharged to the gas storage tank, and then into the public pipeline through the gas storage。Air filter failure is very frequent, but also very common, almost every machine will appear, because it is a wearing part, need to be replaced regularly。
The air filter is mainly composed of two materials, metal shell, paper core, it can effectively filter some suspended matter in the air, so that the air into the compression chamber more pure。There are often impurities in the atmosphere around the factory, such as particles, tree catkins and soot, which can't be seen or touched, but they do exist。Therefore, after a long time of use, the suspended matter in the air and the oil smoke will pollute the filter paper of the air filter。Black filter paper is the result of blocking oil in the air。Long time blockage, resulting in the filter before and after the pressure difference is too large, equipment current increases and other consequences。It will even make the air intake filter fail, bring some large particles in the air to the host, cause certain wear and tear to the host, and affect the normal operation and life of the host。Therefore, it is very important to regularly replace the filter element of the air filter。Generally, it can be replaced according to the requirements of the supplier's replacement cycle. If the air compressor station is closer to the production site, the oil pollution in the air is more obvious, and the filter should be replaced more frequently。
2. Disk valve failure
Air through the air filter into the main engine, this position is the second gate, called the control butterfly valve。The moving part is a valve plate, which is driven by the push rod of the servo cylinder, and the opening/closing of the valve plate and the opening degree can be controlled to achieve the control of the inlet flow rate, which is usually used in large flow situations。
The probability of butterfly valve failure is rare, but it has occurred in the first few years of our equipment operation。First, the butterfly valve stuck, because it could not be solved, we removed the butterfly valve baffle in order to avoid the butterfly valve stuck, so that the butterfly valve became straight。However, the filter line was later resumed because the removal of the baffle would cause new legs to appear。
The butterfly valve is stuck, it may be that the equipment is assembled at a small Angle, welding deviation, and it may also be that the uneven force in the operation causes the baffle to be stuck, affecting the amount of gas entering and filtering out, resulting in the reduction of air compressor exhaust volume。This is a very subtle, and not easy to think of glitch。
This failure has occurred on the equipment of our air compressor power station, and the air compressor alarm has repeatedly appeared, but the butterfly valve damper is not faulty, but the intake system is faulty。 Therefore, the initial solution to the problem was to replace the air filter, and it was later found that the air intake filter was always in a clean and normal operating state。Once completely blocked, the equipment was disassembled and repaired in the filter line, and it was found that the baffle was stuck。After the butterfly valve baffle is reassembled, it is still not useful to use, and later contact the manufacturer more people's door gear accessories can not completely solve the problem, sometimes it is difficult to determine, because some foreign equipment。
After the removal, although the suction system is running well, but for a long time, because the baffle does not work, resulting in unbalanced intake air, loading and unloading contention is not obvious phenomenon, finally, or contact the manufacturer to reassemble the baffle, the fault can be completely solved。
3. Control mechanism failure
The control mechanism generally belongs to the integrated circuit part, which has contact points for various faults of the equipment, through which the contact points can be reflected to the control panel, and then find whether the control system fails through the panel prompt。However, such control system failures are sometimes difficult to determine through the alarm vocabulary displayed on the machine。Because some belong to the foreign language equipment, some belong to the Chinese equipment, the fault displayed when the fault occurs will not be very uniform, so the judgment will also appear misunderstanding。The probability of failure of the control system is very small, and the day is not absent, generally it is in the name of air filter failure。For example, the machine temperature, the filter air exhaust temperature or the air filter does not work, or the fault, these phenomena are through the way of air filter failure, but it will not be particularly specific to describe the problem, therefore, it needs human judgment。Or the integrated circuit fault, or the probe fault, may be the probe sensitivity is reduced out of the inaccurate problem。If it is found in time, the probe filter line can be replaced, and the fault can be avoided in time。
